After last year’s successful fundraising concert, the Strummin’ Foundation is excited to unveil what is coming up next.

‘Strummin’ Turn Back Time’ which will be held in October was officially launched during a Beneficiary Night at NAAR Restobar hosted by the Strummin’ Foundation. This year’s show will take the audience on a time hop journey, performing a variety of arrangements showcasing different eras of music. The selected songs will take attendees for a nostalgic ride with flavours from the 1940s, all the way to current bops, including the rock ‘n’ roll 60s, the disco fever of the 70s, the irreplaceable sound of the 80s synth and the pop tunes of the 90s. As always, the stage is expected to buzz with around sixty guitarists, a band that keeps growing, much to our sound engineer’s dismay, and 30 singers that will not fail to entertain with their amazing vocal diversity and talent. The Foundation also unveiled the design and branding for Strummin’ Turn Back Time with our partners and sponsors, dna.studio. Their assistance in developing our concept and marketing is priceless.

During the launch, the Strummin’ Foundation welcomed our 2023 beneficiary, the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation Malta. Mrs Barbara Caruana, the Foodbank manager, explained their crucial work to support 300 families with the necessities they need weekly. They supply groceries to families referred by social workers from various agencies in Malta that cannot make ends meet due to financial difficulties, unemployment, illness etc. We are very excited to work alongside the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation and look forward to contributing to this worthwhile cause.

Strummin’ Foundation also proudly presented a cheque of €4,000 to Smiling with Jerome Foundation, the beneficiary of 2022’s fundraising efforts to officially conclude the year. This foundation is dedicated to helping families with children suffering from serious conditions and illnesses for which there are currently no cures. Mrs Josette Frendo, the co-Founder of Smiling with Jerome, was present to receive the donation and announced that this is the largest donation they have ever received from one source. The funds will be put to good use to support families undergoing expensive treatments or that require specific care, as well as support patients at SAMOC that receive a cancer care package from the foundation.

Join us in making this year’s show another success! Strummin’ Foundation invites you all to the 19th edition of Strummin’ being held on the 13th and 14th October 2023 at St. Agatha Auditorium Rabat (M.S.S.P), in aid of the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation Malta.
