Strummin’ Foundation was set up in January 2019 to focus on musical outreach by engaging young people. In doing so it seeks to empower and help them develop their talents and skills.
Of the many projects that the foundation strives to work on is the recurring Strummin’ Concert that brings together guitarists and musicians of various skill levels. Through this project, and others, it is creating resources and training for individuals wishing to start learning the guitar whilst collaborating with like-minded institutions and bodies working with young people.

Strummin’ has been a space where music, friendship, and growth all came together. The experiences I’ve had have deeply shaped both my personal journey and my love for music
- Shaun Vella
Strummin’ was the turning point in my life, the very first time I felt truly seen and valued not just as an artist but as a person. It was the first real taste of what it meant to share my voice with the world and it lit something inside me that I didn’t know was there.
- Martina Borg
Strummin’ was a true milestone in my musical journey. I was only 14 years old when I joined, and from the very beginning, I discovered a genuine and supportive community.
- Kylo (Kyle Drakard)
I owe a lot to Strummin’ because they believed in me when I hadn’t even started to believe in myself. Their first ‘yes,’ in 2012, for Strummin’ Tribute to the Greats, was a turning point in my life. It made me realise that maybe I didn’t need to give up on my dreams; I just needed to work very hard to achieve them. Thank you, Strummin’, I haven’t stopped working since.
