On Saturday 29th February Strummin’ Foundation officially hosted its first official AGM. The foundation board members, all committee and sub-committee members were invited to attend to spend a few hours reviewing the work done by the foundation during 2019 and think about the future about the foundation and what we would like to see the foundation work on.
Looking back at 2019 the foundation launched and executed a new project “Back to Basics” and held a number of social and fundraising events. Most importantly it established the Strummin’ 2020 committee and set the ball rolling in the organisation of the production and the seeking out for funding opportunities.
The AGM was an opportunity for all committees working within the foundation to take a moment to reflect and voice suggestions on possible new or improved projects for the foundation. This year Strummin’ 2020 will surely be the biggest topic on our agenda, but there are many ideas and dreams that the foundation will be putting forward.
With its very first edition being held in November 2002, Strummin’ has developed to become one of Malta’s most awaited charity concerts, well known for their rock tunes and timeless classics (while still giving it that little poppy edge by choosing a song or two which everyone is playing on their radios).
