Meet Marilyn, who first participated in Strummin’ in 2013. She is also an active member of Salesjani Sliema and volunteers both locally and abroad.
Marilyn dedicated 2020 to develop and hone her skills and creativity. This commitment resulted in the release of new original music. Her most recent and notable achievement is winning l-Għanja tal-Poplu 2020 with the song ‘Jien u Int’ which was written and composed by herself.
Her favourite memory of Strummin’ is when she first participated in 2013. She was still 16 years old when she was given the opportunity to participate as a solo singer alongside other talented artists and musicians. During the years she also learned to play the guitar with the help of Strummin’ guitar teachers which has contributed to further increase her love of music and songwriting.

With its very first edition being held in November 2002, Strummin’ has developed to become one of Malta’s most awaited charity concerts, well known for their rock tunes and timeless classics (while still giving it that little poppy edge by choosing a song or two which everyone is playing on their radios).
