Meet Jean Luc, who first participated in Strummin’ in 2015. He studied music theory and electric guitar at a Grade 8 level under the guidance of Mr Evan Plumpton. Strummin’ has also given him the opportunity to learn the acoustic guitar and Ukulele.
Jean Luc has participated in other national events, namely Notte Bianca, Għanafest, L-Istrina among others. His most recent and notable achievement is participating in the National Youth Parliament where he proposed various ideas for more opportunities for artists in the local scene.
He considers himself an avid listener of various music genres which help him to experiment and add original twists to cover songs.

With its very first edition being held in November 2002, Strummin’ has developed to become one of Malta’s most awaited charity concerts, well known for their rock tunes and timeless classics (while still giving it that little poppy edge by choosing a song or two which everyone is playing on their radios).
