Gilbert Gauci is a singer-songwriter who joined Strummin’ back in 2014 as a singer, and later participated again in 2018 edition. Gilbert describes Strummin’ as a unique and memorable experience.
Strummin’ is special for me as you are surrounded with a pool of talented musicians and singers who are dedicating their time to help charitable organisations. This makes the experience extremely rewarding.”
He has built new friendships over the years and had numerous great experiences with the Strummin’ family. His favourite memory is the opening night of 2014 when he duetted ‘L-Aħħar Bidwi F’Wied il-Għasel’ with Deborah Vella.
He is now eagerly waiting to participate in the next edition of Strummin’. However, in the meantime Gilbert has started writing original songs and has recently released his debut single ‘Breathe’.
With its very first edition being held in November 2002, Strummin’ has developed to become one of Malta’s most awaited charity concerts, well known for their rock tunes and timeless classics (while still giving it that little poppy edge by choosing a song or two which everyone is playing on their radios).
