This marks the establishment of Strummin’ Foundation whereby a group of founders, made up of individuals that have been involved in the project for many years, built and agreed on a statute that defines the aims and activities of Strummin’. This also established a board of administrators that regularly meets up to discuss new projects of the foundation and continue to support them to grow.
With its very first edition being held in November 2002, Strummin’ has developed to become one of Malta’s most awaited charity concerts, well known for their rock tunes and timeless classics (while still giving it that little poppy edge by choosing a song or two which everyone is playing on their radios).
