Fifteen guitarists who subscribed for the newly launched Back to Basics course have successfully completed the programme. A celebration party was held at Carolina’s Tea Room in Qawra on Saturday 5th October 2019, where the guitarists played a 5 minute medley accompanied by Janice Debattista and Luke Cucciardi.
The programme was spearheaded by Strummin’ guitarists Maria Attard and Christina Pisani, with the help and support of several guitar tutors and the Strummin’ Foundation.
The guitarists were presented with a t-shirt kindly designed by Logix Creative, the media partner for Strummin’ Foundation.
With its very first edition being held in November 2002, Strummin’ has developed to become one of Malta’s most awaited charity concerts, well known for their rock tunes and timeless classics (while still giving it that little poppy edge by choosing a song or two which everyone is playing on their radios).
